1960 - Fresh out of the yards after her angle deck conversion, USS Coral Sea passes under the Lions Gate Bridge - Vancouver. Over 15,000 Vancouverites went aboard the aircraft carrier during one afternoon of the ship's visit to Vancouver. Thousands more had to be turned away.
